Catching up on some potential puppeteers, went to flickr and the front page group is gone. Did some diggin' around the forums and looks like some asshole reported the group for abusing the terms of service, or some bullshit like that.
Out of curiosity I contacted the admin for the group to ask what the deal was and who would be such a prick. Only speculative, but of course now it all makes sense because that person IS such a prick and repeatedly is in the forums. All I can say is "your a self centered asshole and I'll buy my soap from Target before I purchase anything from you."
No shades of grey here. Only someone completely self centered would choose to destroy something that so many others benefited from. Truly shameless. To steal the admins words "karma's a bitch, and may it bite you in the ass like a pitbull with rabies" True 'dat.
To Summarize....
If you're a seller on Etsy, you know all about the exposure being on the front page can bring. For some, it's a fleeting 15 minutes of fame and for others it's the ticket to fame and fortune. But, in order to claim a spot, you either have to be selected by an Admin or in a treasury curated by another member that Admin has chosen to showcase on the front page. This is usually the luck of the draw. You wait for someone to pick you. But wait! What if I created a "sock puppet" buyer account and curated all the treasuries I wanted to, using items from my own shop? Hmmm....
You be the Judge
Below are "just the facts" ma'am. Screenshots from suspected sock puppet buyer accounts. Compare frequently used seller names and take your best guess. It's all circumstantial, but really, some are more blatant than others. Potential puppets are given based on being in most, if not all, of the curated treasuries.
